2. Wait With Determined
James 5:8, You too, be patient and stand firm, because the Lord’s coming is near.

James 5:9, Don’t grumble against one another, brothers and sisters, or you will be judged. The Judge is standing at the door!
- Our Waiting Does Not Show Signs Of
Philippians 2:14, Do everything without grumbling or arguing, 15 so that you may become blameless and pure, “children of God without fault in a warped and crooked generation.” Then you will shine among them like stars in the sky.
James 5:13, Is anyone among you in trouble? Let them pray. Is anyone happy? Let them sing songs of praise. 14 Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord.
- Wait Like Others Faithfully Waited
James 5:10, Brothers and sisters, as an example of patience in the face of suffering, take the prophets who spoke in the name of the Lord. 11 As you know, we count as blessed those who have persevered. You have heard of Job’s perseverance and have seen what the Lord finally brought about. The Lord is full of compassion and mercy.
Job 42:10, After Job had prayed for his friends, the LORD restored his fortunes and gave him twice as much as he had before. 11 All his brothers and sisters and everyone who had known him before came and ate with him in his house. They comforted and consoled him over all the trouble … 12 The LORD blessed the latter part of Job’s life more than the former part.
