Series: Proverbs – The Wisdom of God for Today’s Issues
Sermon Title: Part 4 – Diligence vs Laziness
Scripture: Proverbs 13:4
Speaker: Mark Pospisil
Sunday’s Message – The book of Proverbs gives us so much practical wisdom for our lives. This is especially true when it comes to how we go about our lives and work. There are countless verses addressing the sluggard and the diligent. The sluggard is the lazy person who “craves and gets nothing” (Proverbs 13:4). They cannot be trusted and will never get anywhere in life. While the “hand of the diligent will rule” (Proverbs 12:24). This is the person who works unto the Lord and can accomplish what they set their heart on. The Lord wants to form us to be people that know how to work hard and rest hard. We find the motivation to be diligent through Jesus knowing that in the Lord our labor is not in vain.
Weekly Fighter Verse – Proverbs 13:4 - “The soul of the sluggard craves and gets nothing, while the soul of the diligent is richly supplied.”
