He’s Talking About You (Overcome)

  • When the Bible talks about overcomers, it’s talking about . He means you.

You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. —I John 4:4

For whatever [whoever] is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith. 5 Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God? —I John 5:4-5

Endurance. Hupomune – cheerful, hopeful endurance.

  • In the NT the characteristic of a person who is not from his deliberate purpose and his loyalty to faith and piety by even the greatest trials and sufferings.
  • It is not grim, bleak acceptance of trouble but . It describes the spirit which can not only accept suffering but triumph over it.

Endurance – The Character of the Overcomer:
