Standing Up and Walking Out
Luke 5:12-26
Life’s interruptions can become one of God’s greatest opportunities to work in our lives, but we often see those interruptions as a distraction. What results is a missed opportunity to see God working His purpose in our lives. Are we willing to readjust when He interrupts us?
Jesus is willing to:
Change our condition
“Jesus reached out and touched him.” v13
“And the Lord’s healing power was strongly with Jesus.” v17
Cleanse our sin
“…Go to the priest and let him examine you. Take along the offering required in the law of Moses for those who have been healed of leprosy.” v14
“…Your sins are forgiven…” v23
Call us to service
“Go to the priest and let him examine you.” v15
“Stand up, pick up your mat and go home.” v24
When we seek the Lord, there may be four doors:
Door #1
Disappointment
Door #2
Opposition
Door #3
Obedience
Door #4
Revelation
Action Points:
Don’t give up too quickly
Be willing to do what Jesus is commanding you to do
