If you are a Christian…

In your personal life: where has following Jesus been difficult? Where has there been loss? Where in your life do you have a chip on your shoulder… you feel like you have to prove yourself?

In Ministry: Are you serving the church to prove something to yourself or to someone else? Are you holding back from serving because of what you might lose (time, influence, opportunity, reputation, etc)?

See 1 Corinthians 15:57-58

THEREFORE my beloved brothers and sisters… Because Jesus has finished it all and paid it all… be steadfast, immovable, abounding in the work of the Lord in the planting of Mercy Village Church and your own personal apprenticeship with Jesus… knowing that in the Lord… we have nothing to prove and nothing to lose! Your labor is not in vain!

Take Time To Reflect
(1) Whose voice of condemnation or distraction or comparison do you need to turn down the volume on while you turn up the volume on the voice of Jesus?
(2) What is God calling you to risk or endure for the sake of His Kingdom?
(3) How can you follow Nehemiah’s example this week in prioritizing prayer in the face of criticism and difficulty?
