Focal verse for the year:

“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.” —Matthew 7:7

WE BELIEVE

What sorrow awaits you who lie awake at night, thinking up evil plans. You rise at dawn and hurry to carry them out, simply because you have the power to do so. When you want a piece of land, you find a way to seize it. When you want someone’s house, you take it by fraud and violence. You cheat a man of his property, stealing his family’s inheritance. But this is what the Lord says; “I will reward your evil with evil; you won’t be able to pull your neck out of the noose. You will no longer walk around proudly, for it will be a terrible time.” In that day your enemies will make fun of you by singing this song of despair about you: “We are finished, completely ruined! God has confiscated our land, taking it from us. He has given our fields to those who betrayed us.” —Micah 2:1-4 NLT

“I will surely gather all of you, Jacob; I will surely bring together the remnant of Israel. I will bring them together like sheep in a pen, like a flock in its pasture; the place will throng with people. The One who breaks open the way will go up before them; they will break through the gate and go out. Their King will pass through before them, the Lord at their head.” —Micah 2:12-13 NIV

The Breaker [the Messiah] will go up before them. They will break through, pass in through the gate and go out through it, and their King will pass on before them, the Lord at their head. —Micah 2:13 AMP

How to Fae Terrible Times

Ask the Breaker to go before you.
He who opens the breach goes up before them.

“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. —Matthew 7:7 ESV

I will go before you and will level the mountains; I will break down gates of bronze and cut through bars of iron. —Isaiah 45:2 NIV

The Lord your God who goes before you will himself fight for you, just as he did for you in Egypt before your eyes, —Deuteronomy 1:30 ESV

Trust the Breaker to open a way.
They break through and pass the gate.

For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord. —Romans 8:38-39 ESV

Follow behind the Breaker.
Their kings passes on before them, the Lord at their head.

Show me your ways, Lord, teach me your paths. —Psalm 25:4 NIV

When you want a piece of land, you find a way to seize it. When you want someone’s house, you take it by fraud and violence. You cheat a man of his property, stealing his family’s inheritance. —Micah 2:2 NLT

Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path. —Psalm 119:105 NIV

Know the Breaker has broken a way open for you.
the Lord at their head

So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. —Isaiah 41:10 NIV

This is what the Lord says - he who mad ea way through the sea, a path through the mighty waters, who drew out the chariots and horses, the army and reinforcements together, and they lay there, never to rise again, extinguished, snuffed out like a wick: “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it” I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland. —Isaiah 43:16-19 NIV
