January 23, 2021

fter a year like 2020, the reality is that God’s Kingdom, His rule & His reign do not cease or hit the pause button because of a pandemic. His moving and He wants us to partner with Him for His plan for the world.

While 2020 was a difficult year, it saw an increase in innovation, adaptation and creativity.
The Light of the World has not been and will never be extinguished.

Are we ready & willing for God to move in and through us?

Bottle analogy:
1. The bottle is a vessel just as we are a vessel of the Holy Spirit.
2. The water is representative of the Living Water, the Spirit of God.
3. The lid represents a blockage, preventing God from pouring into us or preventing the Spirit from pouring out through us.

  1. God is pouring into us
  2. So that we can pour into ithers

Empty bottle - we need to be filled and allow God to continually pur into us.

What we allow to be poured into us will determine what pours out of us.

Luke 18:18-23

Luke 5:33-39

Are we positioned to receive the new thing that God is pouring out?

We put lids on God being able to pour into us at times, and at others, we put lids on pouring out what God has poured into us.

Luke 5:4-6

Is Jesus calling you/us to something new? To embrace a new way? To step through a new door?

Matthew 9:18-26

God says that we are His special possession and are fearfully and wonderfully made.

Who wants God to release His power through us? Make an acknowledgement to Him.

Half opened bottle:

Bottle without a lid:

We don’t need to be perfect or seek perfection. It is about shifting our focus from the things that cause a blockage or become a lid, to what God has called us to and who He says we are. When we do that, we walk in the fullness and freedom of God’s anointing and who He has called and created us to be.

What is your lid? What do you need to let go of in order to let God pour into and through you?

Discussion Questions:
1. What is God speaking to you right now? How does that make you feel?
2. Do you currently feel like you have a lid/blockage? Or have you had one before?
3. What can you do to ensure you’re positioned to receive?
4. How can we encourage each other and support each other to remove the lid?
5. What is a way we can allow the Spirit of God to pour through us in the community?
