Peace is very

Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying, “Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.” —Luke 2:13-14 (NIV)

Peace is an

work not an one

So they arrived at the other side of the lake, in the region of the Gerasenes. When Jesus climbed out of the boat, a man possessed by an evil spirit came out from the tombs to meet him. This man lived in the burial caves and could no longer be restrained, even with a chain… Day and night he wandered among the burial caves and in the hills, howling and cutting himself with sharp stones. —Mark 5:1-3, 5 (NLT)

People try to

peace but it falls

What is

That is why Jesus brings

that eases our inner

Many would rather have a

peace than a

When they came to Jesus, they saw the man who had been possessed by the legion of demons, sitting there, dressed and in his right mind; and they were afraid… Then the people began to plead with Jesus to leave their region. —Mark 5:15, 17 (NIV)

Let us take hold of the

1 – Would you categorize your family gatherings as peaceful? Why or why not?

2 – Do you tend to need everything calm or happy around you to have peace? Explain.

3 – When you are around chaos do you tend to want to ‘bind it up’ or do you just avoid it and go somewhere else?

4 – What can you do to experience more of Jesus’ presence and peace this Christmas?
