Stinkin’ Thinkin’

Paul gives us the antidote to the stinkin’ thinkin’ epidemic-

Phil 4:8 NLT “And now dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is pure, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.”

G- vs

Phil 4:6 “Don’t worry about anything; instead, instead pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank Him for all He has done.”

R- vs

This means you aren’t led by your feelings. Instead you’re guided by truth.

Psalm 43:3-4 “Send out your light and your truth; let them guide me. Let them lead me to your holy mountain, to the place where you live. There I will go to the alter of God, to God-the source of all my joy.

I- vs

Think deep. Don’t just be given information and research.

Phil 4:8 “Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.”

N- vs

No explanation needed - think nice things, not naughty. How?

2 Cor 10:5 “We destroy every proud obstacle that keeps people from knowing God. We capture their rebellious thoughts and teach them to obey Christ.”

D- vs

1 Cor 15:58 “So, my dear brothers and sisters, be strong and immovable. Always work enthusiastically for the Lord, for you know that nothing you do for the Lord is ever useless.”
