Who told you something was wrong with you?

Does the church need to be more positive and focus less on sin?

ENCOURAGING WORDS: YOU HAVE GREAT POTENTIAL

As a human being, you are made in the image of God (Genesis 1:26-27)

If you are a Christian, you will ultimately bring glory to God

CHRISTIANS HAVE A RESPONSIBILITY TO HELP PEOPLE RECOGNIZE THEIR NEED FOR A SAVIOR

Many people think of themselves more highly than they ought

People who think they are good enough to get to heaven will not get there (Ephesians 2:8-9)

Biblical salvation is built on God’s holiness and human sinfulness (Romans 3:10,23; 6:23)

Not everyone agrees, but we are sinners who need a Savior

“I am not okay, you are not okay; but Jesus can make us both okay”

SIN IS ALSO A PROBLEM FOR BELIEVERS IN JESUS

We can confess our sins and experience God’s forgiveness (1 John 1:9)

Sin, by nature, is very destructive

Our sins remind us we are in great need of God’s grace (1 Timothy 1:15; Luke 7:47)
