Risk-taking Obedience

“And now the cry of the Israelites has reached me, and I have seen the way the Egyptians are oppressing them. So, now go. I am sending you to Pharaoh to bring my people the Israelites out of Egypt.” But Moses said to God, “Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh and bring the Israelites out of Egypt?” And God said. “I will be with you…” —Exodus 3:10–12

Moses was not the first person to be called by God. The scripture is full of the stories of men and women who knew the Lord and heard His call to them.

• Are we listening to the Word, so that God’s call to us is clear?

  a. Who is God?
  b. What does God do?
  c. Who am I?
  d. What am I called to do?

• Our answers to these essential questions will determine the destiny of our lives!

2. The Key to Risk-taking Obedience—

• Moses’s story reminds us that personality, past failures or even age does not disqualify us from living with risk-taking obedience.
