Introduction:

While on earth, Jesus performed many unexplainable signs, wonders, and miracles that caused people to follow Him. These supernatural events were dramatic and clear evidence that Jesus was the Son of God. They were performed out of love and compassion, to strengthen people’s faith, and to prove who He was.

From turning water into wine, healing the sick, making the lame walk, bringing the dead back to life, to the miracle of salvation, Jesus made the impossible possible. These marvelous works show us that God is a miracle-working God who is still supernaturally transforming lives.

“For the Father loves the Son and shows him everything he is doing, and he will show him greater works than these so that you will be amazed.” —John 5:20

CONCLUSION: What areas of your life do you need to believe Jesus for?

DEEP DIVES

  1. What was a belief that you held onto very strongly as a child?

  2. Why do you think the level of our faith is so closely tied to how we make our requests to Him?

  3. Read 1 Corinthians 2:1-5. Why is Paul (the writer) making such a big deal about his dependence on God’s spirit and not his own ability?

  4. In what circumstance in your life do you need to believe that Jesus can make something happen?
