From turning water into wine, to raising Lazarus from the dead Jesus was alsways trying to help others, heal others, but ultimately bring glory to God. READ

Read John 2:1-11
In this miracle, Jesus uses a social setting, a wedding, to show his deity by turning six stone jars filled with water into wine. This miracle was the benchmark of how Jesus would conduct His ministry; by helping others, speaking with authority, and being in relationship with others.

Do you use time with others to share the testimony of Christ in your life?

Read John 4: 46-54
While in Galilee, Jesus is approached by a government official from Capernaum, whose son is about to die, and asks Jesus to heal him. Jesus tells the official, “Go, your son will live..” (John 4:50). When approaching his home, the official’s servants tell him his son was healed

The official showed great faith by coming to Jesus and asking Him to save him. When was the last time you went to Jesus and asked Him for help?

Read John 5: 1-16
During the time of a Festival, Jesus travels to Jerusalem and heals a lame man at a large community pool, known for its healing waters, only if you were the first to enter at a specific time. Through a brief conversation, Jesus heals the man on the Sabbath and is later persecuted by the Pharisees.

When was the last time you looked somewhere else for a solution to an issue instead of Christ? What was the outcome?

We see the healed man later persecuted by the Pharisees for being healed on the Sabbath. When was the last time you were persecuted for your faith in Christ?

Read John 6: 1-25
In these two miracles, Jesus provides for those around them through the meek supplies given by a young boy. Jesus turned five loaves and two fish into 12 baskets of food, enough to feed those in his presence. That evening, Jesus calms not only the natural world around Him but the disciples’ fears as they are stranded on rough seas.

In the feeding of the five thousand we see the diciples surprised in Jesus’ provision through so little. When was the last time you were surprised by Jesus, when you couldnt find the answers to an issue?

When Jesus walks on water to calm the storm, and the fears of His disciples, it shows he has deity over the natural world as well as our anxiety and fears.

Have you ever been in a place where anxiety and fear made you give up and wonder why God had you in this partcular place? How did Chirst save you and calm your anxiety and fears?

Read John 9: 1-41
Here Jesus sees a man blind since birth. He uses His spit and dirt to cure the blind man and tells him to “..Go to Siloam and wash..” (John 9: 11). The man was then questioned by those around him, including his family and the Pharisees. This ultimately leads to Jesus’ teaching about spiritual blindness.

Have you had to deal with the challenges from those closest to you, especially family? How do you rely on Christ to handle family or friends who may not agree with your faith?

Read John 11: 1-44
Jesus raises his dear friend, Lazarus, from the dead and also shows great compassion towards Martha and Mary.

What did you learn of Jesus’ reactions to this situations that you are thankful for?

Do you feel the compassion of Christ speaks to His deity in the same way as raising Lazarus from the dead? Why or why not?

LET’S PRAY
So what did the you learn that you can add to your prayer life? Did the understanding of Christ’s deity make you in even more awe of His greatness? Was there something from one of the miracles that now makes you pray to God more than before? Do you need to pray for healing? What about prayer to help with fear or anxiety? How about praying for thos around us who may not know Chirst as their personal Lord and Savior?

Whatever the situation may be in your life reach out to God to ask for His will to be done! Give Him glory, as Jesus did, as He here’s our cries and pleas for help when we’re in need.
