Day 5: Made in the Image of God – Part 3

Created in the image of God means I made from relationship and for relationships. God said, “Let us”, literally we have been made by a God who has existed in eternal and perpetual relationship as a triune God (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit). I have been made to be in a unique and personal relationship with the playwright and because He made me in His image I am made for relationships with others! We are relational beings! To be made in His image also means I have been created for work and told to rest. God is an amazing, magnificent inventor! Work is not a cause of the curse but a part of being created in the image of a God who worked for 6 days creating then He rested. Though not all of us may be artists, we express our creative genes through many avenues such as leadership in the business world, through written expression or working in our yard! We are made creative beings!

Read Genesis 2:18-25, 3:8, Matthew 19:1-2 & Galatians 3:26-29
