I. Seek

Luke 24:1 But on the first day of the week, at early dawn, they went to the tomb, taking the spices they had prepared. 2 And they found the stone rolled away from the tomb, 3 but when they went in they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus. 4 While they were perplexed about this, behold, two men stood by them in dazzling apparel. 5 And as they were frightened and bowed their faces to the ground, the men said to them, “Why do you seek the living among the dead? 6 He is not here, but has risen! Remember how he told you, while he was still with you in Galilee.

Why, if Jesus is the one who promised us life, do we tend to look toward empty or limited places?

Jeremiah 29:13 “You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.

II. Seek Ultimate

John 6:27 “Do not work for food that spoils, but for food that endures to eternal life … 33 For the bread of God is the bread that comes down from heaven and gives life to the world.” 34 “Sir,” they said, “always give us this bread.” 35 Then Jesus declared, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.

Philippians 3:19 Their destiny is destruction, their god is their stomach, and their glory is in their shame. Their mind is set on earthly things.

III. Seek

Jeremiah 2:13 “My people have committed two sins: They have forsaken me, the spring of living water, and have dug their own cisterns, broken cisterns that cannot hold water.”

John 10:10 [Jesus said] “… I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.
