The
- What the Bile says we are…sinners! (Romans 3:10, 23)
- Use the 10 commandments to show the condition and start with the latter six
commandments first.
i. Thou shalt not covet.
ii. Thou shalt not bear false witness.
iii. Thou shalt not steal.
iv. Thou shalt not commit adultery. (Matthew 5:27-28)
v. Thou shalt not kill. (murder-Matthew 5:21-22; 1 John 3:15)
vi. Honor your father and mother.
vii. Remember the Sabbath day to keep it holy. (i.e., Have you always set aside
one day in seven to acknowledge Him?)
viii. Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord…in vain.
ix. Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image.
x. Thou shalt have no other gods before me. (i.e., Have you always put God first?)
The
- Eternal separation from God (cf. Romans 6:23)
- Punishment in Hell
- We want people to feel helpless, not hopeless!!
The
- Death, burial and resurrection of Christ (cf. Romans 5:8-9)
- He has paid the penalty for us and lives to apply it to us.

Would you
- There may be no tomorrow, so press for a decision for Christ today.
- There are only two decisions that they can make at this point: either accept or reject Christ.
- They may not realize that “not deciding” is a decision to reject Him.
What to do with
- Ignore the objection/question.
- Postpone the objection/question.
- Answer the objection/question.
- Research the objection/question.

- Ask them to share their decision immediately with someone else.
- Encourage them to attend church with you the following Sunday.
- Ask them if they would be willing to go forward on Sunday to share with the pastor what they have done.
- Explain baptism and its importance.
- Try to get a commitment for them to be baptized as soon as possible.
