21 Days of Prayer and Fasting

Day 2 | January 3rd

Psalm 78:1-8

I don’t know how you would finish that sentence but take a moment right now to see what God’s Word has to say. Read Psalm 78:1-8.

There are probably things in your past that you would rather not dwell on but there are also works of your mighty God which will make a differ ence for generations to come. Here v. 4 instructs us “not to hide these truths from our children” so (v. 7) they “should set their hope anew on God.”

What miracles of God in your life do you rehearse for your children, or for yourself, for that matter? These stories serve to reveal truth to the next generation and renew our own faith in a God who can perform glorious deeds.
List the miraculous works of God in your past:

Do you have testify of God’s work in your past to the next generations?
I have a receipt for my first month’s rent and deposit for the apartment I rented while in graduate school. That money was not in my bank account when I found the apartment. I was uncertain how God would provide it. A few weeks before college graduation I was notified that I would receive an award in Honor’s Chapel.

When I received the award, I was also given an envelope. At the close of chapel, I opened the envelope to discover a check–enough to pay my first month’s rent and deposit. That receipt is still a memorial marker of God’s work!

Dear God, remind me of your glorious deeds in my life and help me to share them with others.
