Introduction

Every person and every organization ends up somewhere in life. A few end up somewhere on purpose. Those are the ones with vision.

Let’s be a church that ends up somewhere on purpose.

Purpose Defined

Purpose is the reason we exists as a church. It’s why we’re here. It’s long-term, and it’s BIG.

While our statement is unique, the truth is that every Church all across the globe gets our marching orders straight from the mouth of Jesus:

Jesus came near and said to them, “All authority has been given to me in heaven and on earth. Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe everything I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” —Matthew 28:18-20 (CSB)

This serves as the overarching purpose of the church. It grounds all that we do.

Our Purpose

“Leading people to discover more in Christ.”

This purpose is never going to be accomplished. Purpose is about forever.

If you ever find yourself asking this question: “What should I do in this situation?” the answer that should immediately pop into your head is this: Help them discover more in Christ.

You and I, and our church, live out the purpose God has given us each time we help people discover more in Christ and take a step towards Jesus — regardless of how big or small that step might be.

Let us resolve to help our families, our children, our co-workers, our friends, our communities… discover more in Christ.

Immeasurable More

Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen. —Ephesians 3:20–21 NIV
