• In John 10 Jesus likens Himself to the good shepherd. His sheep know His voice and won’t listen to another. Read through this passage carefully. If you require, use a bible dictionary or commentary to better understand this parable of the good shepherd in light of its historical setting. Discuss this passage, explaining how we can know the voice of our good shepherd, Jesus Christ.
• Read 1 Corinthians 14:26-33 where Paul speaks about how the gifts of the Spirit should be used in the church. What are the responsibilities of the church and what are the responsibilities of the one operating in a gift of the Spirit?
• In order to hear from God we must be close to God. What are some things in your own life that can separate you from God? What are some practical steps you can take to get close to God and remain there?
