John 10:10 ESV
The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.

Matthew 11:28-30 ESV
Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”

What made Jesus attractive to those followers, and us is that Jesus offers something different than what the world offers.

Luke 10:41-42 Amp
But the Lord replied to her by saying, Martha, Martha, you are anxious and troubled about many things;42 There is need of only one or but [a]a few things. Mary has chosen the good portion [[b]that which is to her advantage], which shall not be taken away from her.

Ephesians 5:15-16 ESV
“Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time, because the days are evil.

Redeeming the time.
Making the most of every opportunity/every chance you get.

His Yoke is His way to shoulder the weight of life.

The most restful gift He can give the tired is a new way to carry life, a fresh way to bear responsibilities.

1.** Be with Jesus**
John 15:4-5 ESV
4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me. 5 I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.

Hebrews 4:15-16 ESV
For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin. 16 Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

Healing comes with Him. Jesus’ agenda is to make wounded people whole.

  1. Become like Jesus.
If you want to experience the life of Jesus, you have to adopt the lifestyle of Jesus.

*3. Do What Jesus Was Doing. *

Matthew 12:7 ESV
If you had known what these words mean, ‘I desire mercy, not sacrifice,’[a] you would not have condemned the innocent.

The Sacrifice of following Jesus will always try to overshadow the Mercy that is needed to be shown in our day.

Healing is found when we stretch out our hands.

Matthew 12:13 ESV
13 Then he said to the man, “Stretch out your hand.” So he stretched it out and it was completely restored, just as sound as the other

Matthew 11:28-30 MSG-
“Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly.”
