Appealing Heaven

So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed. *

*The only way we lose our freedom is to give up and give in to the evil that once bound us. *

*Freedom is lost when we slowly give in to apathy and complacency of the freedoms that we have come to expect. *

Galatians 5:1 NIV
It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.

**A way to ensure freedom in the future is to never forget the bondage of the past.

Phil 3:13 ESV
Brothers, I do not consider that I have made it my own. But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead,

God doesn’t was us to bury the pain, or the wrong but realize that God wants to heal it!!

5 levels of destiny.

Personal destiny.
Family destiny.
Church destiny.
National destiny.
Generational destiny.

Ezekiel 37: 1-10 NIV
The hand of the Lord was on me, and he brought me out by the Spirit of the Lord and set me in the middle of a valley; it was full of bones. 2 He led me back and forth among them, and I saw a great many bones on the floor of the valley, bones that were very dry. 3 He asked me, “Son of man, can these bones live?” I said, “Sovereign Lord, you alone know.” 4 Then he said to me, “Prophesy to these bones and say to them, ‘Dry bones, hear the word of the Lord! 5 This is what the Sovereign Lord says to these bones: I will make breath[a] enter you, and you will come to life. 6 I will attach tendons to you and make flesh come upon you and cover you with skin; I will put breath in you, and you will come to life. Then you will know that I am the Lord.’”7 So I prophesied as I was commanded. And as I was prophesying, there was a noise, a rattling sound, and the bones came together, bone to bone. 8 I looked, and tendons and flesh appeared on them and skin covered them, but there was no breath in them.9 Then he said to me, “Prophesy to the breath; prophesy, son of man, and say to it, ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: Come, breath, from the four winds and breathe into these slain, that they may live.’” 10 So I prophesied as he commanded me, and breath entered them; they came to life and stood up on their feet—a vast army.

*Healing will occur when the people of God rise up and stop appealing to the rulers of the earth but will turn and appeal to the ruler of heaven. When all resources have been exhausted, an appeal to the creator of the earth is necessary. *

AN APPEAL TO HEAVEN!

How has it happened sir, that we have not hitherto once thought of humbly applying to the father of lights to illuminate our understanding? In the beginning of our contest with Britain when we were sensible of danger we had daily prayer in this room for divine protection- Our prayers were heard, and they were graciously answered. All of us who were engaged in the struggle must have observed frequent instances of a superintending providence in our favor. I therefore beg leave to move- that henceforth prayers appealing the assistance of heaven and its blessings on our deliberation!

2- What happens to your spirit when you think back and remember the pain and bondage that Jesus has healed you from?

3- How have you tried to “bury” the pain of your past instead of allowing God to heal it?

4- What are some ways that you can begin appealing to heaven on behalf of our Nation?
