The Hand of the Lord Part 3 - Supernatural Supply

  • A Experience - Psalm 139:5. “You have hedged me behind and before, and laid Your hand upon me.”
  • A Community Experience - Acts 11:21. “And the hand of the Lord was with

    , and a great number believed and turned to the Lord.”

  • We can accomplish more in a

    where God’s hand is at work, than in a life time of our effort.

In Part 1 we saw that the hand of the Lord gives us

that’s beyond our own.

Then the hand of the Lord came upon Elijah; and he girded up his loins and ran ahead of Ahab to the entrance of Jezreel. (1 Kings 18:46)

In Part 2 we saw that the hand of the Lord

us into perspective that’s beyond our circumstances.

But now bring me a musician.” Then it happened, when the musician played, that the hand of the Lord came upon him. And he said, Thus says the Lord…” 2 Kings 3:15-16

Key 1 - Seated with Christ

and raised us up together, and made us 

together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus. —Ephesians 2:6

 “God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble.”

6 Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, —I Peter 5:5-6

  • God

    the proud. “Resist” means to position oneself against.

  • He gives

    to the humble. His unmerited favor and divine influence upon the heart and it’s reflection in the life.

  • Humble - To make

    . It’s a heart word.

  • A posture of humility

    us under the hand of God.

Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God [set aside self-righteous pride], so that He may exalt you [to a place of honor in His service] at the appropriate time —I Peter 5:6AMP

Key 3 – Be with the Spirit

63 He asked for a writing tablet, and to everyone’s astonishment he wrote, “His name is John.” 
64 Immediately his mouth was opened and his tongue set free, and he began to speak, praising God. 
65 All the neighbors were filled with awe, and throughout the hill country of Judea people were talking about all these things. 
66 Everyone who heard this wondered about it, asking, “What then is this child going to be?” For the Lord’s

  • It was to everyone that God was working in, around, and through John’s life. May the same be said for each one of us!

15 for he will be great in the sight of the Lord. He is never to take wine or other fermented drink, and he will be

with the Holy Spirit even before he is born.
 39 At that time Mary got ready and hurried to a town in the hill country of Judea, 
40 where she entered Zechariah’s home and greeted Elizabeth.

  • As you are continually filled with the Holy Spirit, others will see God’s hand at work in you!

1) The hand of the Lord releases supernatural supply our lives, a supply beyond our own resources.

a) God’s hand is a open hand, a

hand.

You open Your hand and satisfy the desire of every living thing. —Psalm 145:16

When you open your generous hand, it’s full of blessings, satisfying the longings of every living thing. (TPT) —Psalm 145:16 (TPT)

My God shall

all of your need, according to His riches in glory. —Philippians 4:19

b) There’s

power and in the hand of God.

My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father’s hand. —John 10:29

And Jabez called on the God of Israel saying, “Oh, that You would bless me indeed, and enlarge my territory, that Your hand would be with me,
and that You would keep me from evil, that I may not cause pain!” So God granted him what he requested. —1 Chronicles 4:10

c) God’s hand brings

and salvation.

Behold, the Lord’s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; Nor His ear heavy, that it cannot hear. —Isaiah 59:1
Yet Jerusalem says, “The Lord has deserted us; the Lord has forgotten us.”15 “Never! Can a mother forget her nursing child?
Can she feel no love for the child she has borne? But even if that were possible, I would not forget you! 16 See, I have written your name on the palms of my hands. —Isaiah 49:14-16

d) God’s outstretched hand releases

.

29 Now, Lord, look on their threats, and grant to Your servants that with all boldness they may speak Your word, 
30 by stretching out Your hand to

, and that signs and wonders may be done through the name of Your holy Servant Jesus.” —Acts 4:29-30

e) God’s hand releases

!

The right hand of the Lord does

. —Psalm 118:15
Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will you up with my victorious right hand. —Isaiah 41:10

f) The hand of God brings

and .

this Ezra came up from Babylon; and he was a skilled scribe in the Law of Moses, which the Lord God of Israel had given. The king granted him all his request, according to the hand of the Lord his God upon him. —Ezra 7:6

and has extended mercy to me before the king and his counselors, and before all the king’s mighty princes. So I was encouraged, as the hand of the Lord my God was upon me; and I gathered leading men of Israel to go up with me. —Ezra 7:28

2) The hand of the Lord releases His supernatural supply our lives, a supply beyond our own resources.

And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. 17 And these signs will follow those who believe… they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.” —Mark 16:15,17

  • When the hand of God is with you, and then you place hands on someone else, the power of God is released!

So then, after the Lord had spoken to them, He was received up into heaven, and sat down at the right hand of God. 
20 And they went out and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them and confirming the word through the accompanying signs. Amen. —Mark 16:19-20

  • When the hand of God is with you, and then you place

    hands on someone else, the power of God is released!

  • God’s hand brings a supernatural supply

    your life. And God’s hand brings a supernatural supply your life!
