Day 9: Sin explored within the Psalms

In the Psalms we see David express how sin can weigh us down. Psalm 51 was written after David had committed adultery and murder. God offers us confession, which literally means to agree with God as a way of escape from the weight of our shame. In these two Psalms, we see the heart of repentance that God desires. Through today’s readings we begin to see the beauty of God’s forgiveness!

Read Psalm 32

Q: How did David feel knowing he had unconfessed sin? (vs. 3-4)

Q: How have you seen unconfessed sin weigh you down?
