Eyes on the Prize

12 Not that I have already obtained this or am already perfect, but I press on to make it my own, because Christ Jesus has made me his own.

WHAT IS THE PRIZE?

The greatest pursuit in life. To become more like Jesus.

Philippians 3:20-21 (KJV)
20 For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ:
21 Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.

12 For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.

2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.

Philippians 2:12–13: “Work out your own salvation with fear and trembling; for God is at work in you.”
… the holiness without which no one will see the Lord” (Hebrews 12:14),
for the Lord is working in you what is pleasing in his sight (Hebrews 13:21).

3 Steps to Keep your Eyes on the Prize of Becoming More and More Like Jesus:

1. (Develop) Holy Hunger
   – Realize just how little we actually know and have of God…and go after the things of God. Quit chasing the empty pursuits that could never satisfy.

2. Leave the Past in the Past

3. Move Forward
