Hope for Community

In his great mercy he has given us new birth in to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.

1 Peter 1:3

1. We are tempted to do life

:

A. I can handle it on my own.
B. If they only knew the truth about me…
C. It’s not worth it.

2. Jesus faced the

temptation.

Hebrews 4:15

Mark 1: 12-13

.

As Jesus walked beside the Sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and his brother Andrew casting a net into the lake, for they were fishermen. “Come, follow me,” Jesus said, “and I will send you out to fish for people.”

Mark 1:16-17

And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to death— likeness even death on a cross!
