2 Thessalonians 3:1-5
 
After instructing the Thessalonian believers about eschatological issues (2 Thessalonians Ch. 2), the Apostle Paul requests prayer for the Gospel to speed ahead and for the missionaries to be delivered from wicked and evil men.  Apparently, and it is no surprise, the missionaries were experiencing great resistance.  Still, Paul testifies: the Lord is Faithful!  His words of encouragement and prayer for all the Children of the Truth are a model for us today.  Children of the Truth should brace themselves for a number of things when we share and live out the truth: 1) Prepare for and expect resistance aka “spiritual warfare”, 2) Pray for God’s help and strength, 3) Partner with other Children of the Truth.

1. Describe a situation where you experienced spiritual warfare. 

2. How/when did you realize what it was?

3. What was your initial reaction?

4. If given a chance to respond to that same situation again, what would you do differently?

5. How will you improve “preparing” and “partnering” with other children of truth?
