Unhindered Week 1
Paul stayed two full years in his own rented lodging and welcomed all who came to him, preaching the kingdom of God and teaching things about the Lord Jesus Christ with all openness, unhindered.
—Acts 28:30-31 (NASB)
I. Paul’s Unhindered Messages In His Letters
15 Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, 16 making the
best use of the time, because the days are evil. 17 Therefore do not be foolish,
but understand what the will of the Lord is. —Ephesians 5:15-17 ESV
16 Rejoice always, 17 pray without ceasing, 18 give thanks in all circumstances;
for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. —1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 ESV
For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain. —Philippians 1:21 ESV
7 But whatever gain I had, I counted as loss for the sake of Christ. 8 Indeed, I
count everything as loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ
Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have suffered the loss of all things and count
them as rubbish, in order that I may gain Christ 9 and be found in him, not
having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which
comes through faith in Christ, the righteousness from God that depends on
faith— —Philippians 3:7-9 ESV
13 He has delivered us from the domain of darkness and transferred us to the
kingdom of his beloved Son, 14 in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness
of sins. —Colossians 1:13-14 ESV
21 And you, who once were alienated and hostile in mind, doing evil deeds, 22
he has now reconciled in his body of flesh by his death, in order to present you
holy and blameless and above reproach before him,
—Colossians 1:21-22 ESV
II. Kingdom of God
So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.
—John 8:36 ESV
For freedom Christ has set us free; stand firm therefore, and do not submit
again to a yoke of slavery. —Galatians 5:1 ESV
8 Formerly, when you did not know God, you were enslaved to those that by
nature are not gods. 9 But now that you have come to know God, or rather to be
known by God, how can you turn back again to the weak and worthless
elementary principles of the world, whose slaves you want to be once more? —Galatians 4:8-9 ESV
…let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles.
And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, 2 fixing our eyes
on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith… —Hebrews 12:1-2 NIV
III. The Lavish Love of God
3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us
in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places, 4 even as he
chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and
blameless before him. In love 5 he predestined us for adoption to himself as
sons through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of his will, 6 to the praise
of his glorious grace, with which he has blessed us in the Beloved. 7 In him we
have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses,
according to the riches of his grace, 8 which he lavished upon us, in all wisdom
and insight 9 making known to us the mystery of his will, according to his
purpose, which he set forth in Christ 10 as a plan for the fullness of time, to
unite all things in him, things in heaven and things on earth. —Ephesians 1:3-10 ESV
