Sermon Notes
GENEROSITY
2 Corinthians 9:6-15

You see God is not short on money, but how God (

) grace in our lives. (Verses 10-11)

What does Paul mean when he says “in (

) way”? (Proverbs 3:9-10)

Paul doesn’t mean that this is just an (

) program.

Money is like a seed you plant that (

) in multiple fruits much better than itself. What are those other things?

  1. Giving produces ( ) contentment. (1Timothy 6:6)

Many have said that the secret to a happy life is (

) having all you want but ( ) what you have.

  1. Giving increases your ( ) for the kingdom of God. (Matthew 6:21).

Putting your (

) in a place actually makes you begin to love that place more.

  1. Giving ( ) your purpose.

Buddha once said, “Your purpose in life is to find your purpose and give your (

) heart and soul to it.”

  1. Giving ( ) a more loving heart.

(

) shrinks your heart. ( ) opens you up, and an open heart is a much happier heart.

Most of us think generosity is something God wants (

) us, but according to Paul, it is something he wants ( ) us.

When we are worried about what we will have to (

) up, we need to think instead about what God wants us to ( ) through generous giving.

“This is the meaning of true love, to give until it (

).” Mother Teresa’s speech, she mentions “give until it hurts” eight times. But at the last time she says, “give until it hurts – with a ( )”.

The point is do not give until it hurts. And do not give in order to be admired for your generosity. Give because it reflects the loving and generous God who gave His Son, Jesus Christ, so that we would have the opportunity to be blessed and to bless others by giving.
