What are some things that cause you to panic?

Have you ever experienced a storm in your life that caused you to fully rely on God?

Read Matthew 14:22-33
Why do you think Christ went alone to pray in the mountains? Do you think it
is important for you get away and spend time with God?

Jesus said: “It is I” to the disciples. Why do you think it was important for Jesus to tell them who he was in this moment?

Spend some time talking about Peter’s request and decision to step out of the boat.

Are you more like Peter, ready to step out and follow Christ with faith alone? Or
would you find yourself seated firmly in the boat, or are you a part of the crowd
back on the shore?

Have you ever cried out to Jesus when storms were happening in your life? What happened? How did Jesus respond?

What are the moments in your life when your only response to what Jesus had done was to worship? How was that worship different than how you usually worship?
