I Am… The Way, The Truth, and The Life

John 14:1-7

“Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me. 2 In my Father’s house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also. 4 And you know the way to where I am going.” 5 Thomas said to him, “Lord, we do not know where you are going. How can we know the way?” 6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. 7 If you had known me, you would have known my Father also. From now on you do know him and have seen him.”

“God had to use someone He loved so immensely,
to redeem the creation, He loved so deeply.”

Doctrine of Salvation

• Fallacy: “Jesus died for your sins.”

• Truth: Jesus died to bring you back into relationship with His Father, and your sins were in the way!

• Jesus’ objective through salvation was to reunite us with our creator, Father God.

“When you find salvation, you find an unfathomable love, birthed in heaven, and shared between the Father and Son. That love is awaiting every child of God throughout humanity! It is a love so great that He used His love of the Son to redeem His love of His creation!
And once you get a revelation of that love, you eagerly live your life on mission to help others discover the Father’s love!”

Doctrine of Intimacy

• Greek word for “intimacy” is Ginosko.

• In New Testament scripture, it translates as “to know, or “knowing” someone.

• “…and (Joseph) did not know her till she had brought forth her firstborn Son. And he called His name Jesus.” Matthew 1:25

• “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22 On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’ 23 And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’

• “If you KNOW me, you KNOW the Father.” John 14:7

• This is why religious traditions, works, family paternity, or being born into a Christian nation, do nothing to solve the relationship chasm between us and the Father. We need the intimacy of Jesus, to obtain the intimacy of the Father!

• Because the Father loves the son so much, He loves you, because you are in the Son!
John 3:16

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.”

TAKE AWAYS:

• We must move our faith from behavioral management to an intimate relationship with the Father through His son Jesus. We cannot behave ourselves into intimacy.

• We must cultivate that intimate relationship, not through works, but through time together. Pray to the Father, speak to the Father, listen to the Father, meditate upon the Fathers word to know the Fathers voice. (I am the Good Shephard)

• When we fixate on our sins, other’s sins, or whether we are loved enough to make heaven, we negate the relationship of the Father and His love for us. If you have Jesus, you have the Father, and the Father will not separate Himself from you.
