For I am not ashamed of this Good News about Christ. It is the power of God at work, saving everyone who believes—the Jew first and also the Gentile. This Good News tells us how God makes us right in his sight. This is accomplished from start to finish by faith. As the Scriptures say, “It is through faith that a righteous person has life.” —Romans 1.16-17

For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. —Romans 1.16 (King James Version)

“Gospel” = god-spel = “good news”

The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim liberty to those in prison and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor… Today this scripture has been fulfilled. —Luke 4.18-19,20

And the Good News about the Kingdom will be preached throughout the whole world, so that all nations will hear it. —Matthew 24.14

And then he told them, “Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone.” —Mark 16.15

They will be able to handle snakes with safety, and if they drink anything poisonous, it won’t hurt them. They will be able to place their hands on the sick, and they will be healed. —Mark 16.15-18

The Good News is a to reach the world.
