2 Questions to reflect on:
Do I prioritize being with Jesus over doing for Jesus?

Does being with Jesus motivate my doing for Jesus?

WARM UP: When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up? [Today we are going to look at the priority of being vs. doing in our lives.]

HEAD: These questions help us examine the Word.
    1. Read Luke 10:40-42. How was Martha’s “doing” negatively impacted by her neglect of being with Jesus?
    2. Read Mark 10:21-22. Why was Jesus’ request so devastating?
    3. What similarities do you see between Martha and the rich young ruler?
    4. Read John 9:25-33. In what way was the blind man’s “doing” motivating by being with Jesus?

HEART: These questions help us wrestle with what we believe.
    5. How would you feel if, like the rich young ruler, Jesus asked you to give up all of your “doing” and all of your possessions?
    6. When you prioritize being with Jesus, how does this affect your “doing”? Are you more active or less active? More burned out or less burned out? More motivated or less motivated?

HAND: These questions help us bring truth and beliefs into our everyday life.
    7. What are some ways you can prioritize being with Jesus this week?
    8. Is there anything God is asking you to stop, or start, doing?
