INTRODUCTION: When do you feel the need to fill your gas tank? Is there a story of a time you ran out of gas?

READ: Jeremiah 17:5-8 and Jeremiah 2:13

1. Who do you think you are being asked by God to become?
2. Do you ever feel like you allow yourself to get empty before you get full? In what ways do you avoid this pattern in your life?
3. Can you recall a season in your life where you felt you were running on spiritual fullness? What helped to keep that constant?
4. What is the biggest drain in your life that you need to be conscious about so you don’t become empty?
5. Are you living like a tree or a tumbleweed right now? What is impacting this the most in your life right now?
6. Have you ever felt like you were living like a tumbleweed running on empty but were able to look back and see the seeds that were planted in spite of your emptiness?
7. Have you ever thought of emptiness as a sin? Jeremiah 2:13
8. What does it look like to dig deeper to a well so we have an infrastructure dependent solely on Him?

Given today’s discussion, what’s one thing you would like prayer for? What is a personal need you have that you would like to share/be prayed for?

1. Consider the dialogue between Jesus and the woman at the well, would you respond the same as the woman or differently? If so, how?
