Thy Kingdom Come

7 And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words. 8 Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him. 9 “This, then, is how you should pray: “‘Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, 10 your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. 11 Give us today our daily bread. 12 And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. 13 And lead us not into temptation,[a] but deliver us from the evil one.
Matthew 6:7-13

“HEAR US FATHER, WHEN WE PRAY, THROUGH YOUR SON AND IN YOUR SPIRIT. BY YOUR WORD CONVEY, ALL THAT WE HAVE THROUGH CHRIST, THAT WE MAY TRULY PRAY.”
-Lutheran Prayer

15 For you did not receive a spirit of slavery to fall back into fear. Instead, you received the Spirit of adoption, by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father!” 16 The Spirit himself testifies together with our spirit that we are God’s children, 17 and if children, also heirs—heirs of God and coheirs with Christ—if indeed we suffer with him so that we may also be glorified with him.
Romans 8:15-17 NIV

EDEN WAS THE “KINGDOM OF HEAVEN” ON EARTH.

“the Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the poor; he has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound…” and then he rolled up the scroll and handed it to the attendant and said, ‘today, this scripture has been fulfilled in your hearing.’”
Luke 4:18-20 NIV

I. WE ASK THAT THE POWER OF JESUS WOULD BE EVIDENT IN OUR LIVES AND THOSE AROUND US.

Through his death, burial and resurrection Jesus entered into the strongman’s house and bound him.
(Matthew 12:29)
