SMALL GROUP GUIDE

Welcome
Weekly Vision Casting  At Trinity we talk a lot about our “ones”. We hope that everyone has at least one person in our community that they are reaching out to with the good news of Jesus. Did anyone have the opportunity to invite someone to Easter or to one of our Holy Week services?

SMALL GROUP QUESTIONS

WARM UP QUESTION
Have everyone find a favorite picture on their phone and have them share about it. [Today we are going to study Revelation 1, where we see some pictures of Jesus that can bring true comfort.]

HEAD: These questions help us examine the Word.
1. Read Revelation 1. Who is the author and what do we know about him? Who were the recipients of this writing and what challenges were they facing?
2. What are the ways that you see God or Jesus described in this chapter?
3. Why do you think that Jesus began His revelation to John in this way?

HEART: These questions help us wrestle with what we believe.
4. Just like this vision of Jesus would have brought comfort to the 7 churches, this vision can bring comfort to us. As you look at these pictures of Jesus, is there one that stands out as being especially comforting?

HAND: These questions help us bring truth and beliefs into our everyday life.
5. Read Hebrews 12:1-2. What are some ways that we can “fix our eyes on Jesus” and keep the revelation of Jesus in front of us?
