“…I am gentle and lowly in heart…” —Matthew 11:29

Now before the Feast of the Passover, when Jesus knew that His hour had come to depart out of this world to the Father, having loved His own who were in the world, He loved them to the end. —John 13:1

…stricken by God, and afflicted. …the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all. —Isaiah 53:4,6

…His sweat was like drops of blood falling to the ground. —Luke 22:44

Jesus cried out with a loud voice, “My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?”
Matthew 27:46, —Psalm 22:1

He is called God, the King of glory. But the persons by Him beloved are called enemies, dust and ashes, fleas, worms, shadows, vapors, vile, filthy, sinful, unclean, ungodly fools, madmen. The Lord Jesus sets His heart to love them. – John Bunyan

God is just…the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven in blazing fire with His powerful angels. He will punish those who do not know God and do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus. They will be punished with everlasting destruction and shut out from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His might on the day He comes to be glorified in His holy people and to be marveled at among all those who have believed. —2 Thessalonians 1:6-10

“My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in Me through their message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as You are in Me and I am in You. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that You have sent Me. I have given them the glory that You gave Me… Then the world will know that You sent Me and have loved them even as You have loved Me. Father, I desire that they also, whom You have given Me, may be with Me where I am, to see My glory that You have given Me because You loved Me before the foundation of the world.” —John 17:20-24

…in the coming ages He might show the immeasurable riches of His grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. —Ephesians 2:7

This marital rapture between Christ and His bride is begun, in relatively small measure so far as our experience goes, in this life. But the final joining of Christ with His bride takes place at the very end of the Bible, as heaven comes down to earth, “prepared as a bride adorned for her husband” (Revelation 21:2). – Jonathan Edwards

…when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and believed in Him, were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit, who is the guarantee of our inheritance until we acquire possession of it, to the praise of His glory. —Ephesians 1:13,14
