Luke 6:38
Give, and it will be given to you. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap. For with the measure you use it will be measured back to you.”

2 Cor. 9:6-11
6 Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. 7 Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. 8 And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work. 9 As it is written:
“They have freely scattered their gifts to the poor;
their righteousness endures forever.”
10 Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness. 11 You will be enriched in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God.

  • Principle 1: God is a giver. (Luke 6:38)

  • Principle 2: When we give, God also gives in return.(Luke 6:38)

  • Principle 3: Knowing He notices and rewards generosity, empowers an attitude of confidence and disables fear when we give.(Luke 6:38)

  • Principle 4: Generosity and giving is about more than just money (Luke 6:27-38)

  • Principle 5: When God gives back, He gives back BETTER. (Luke 6:38)

  • Principle 6: When He gives back to us better, it shows us we can’t outgive God. (Luke 6:38)

  • Principle 7: What we give is what God starts with when giving back to us (Luke 6:38)

  • Principle 8: Measure is not just about a number, & it looks different for each person. (Luke 21:1-4)

  • Principle 9: The measure we choose to give with, actually reflects our attitude toward giving, and shows the level of generosity in our hearts. (Luke 6:38)

  • Principle 10: When you give, give according to your ability. (2 Cor. 8:3,12, 13)

  • Principle 11: When you give beyond your normal ability to give, do so because it’s the Lord who led you to. (2 Cor. 8:5)

  • Principle 12: When God gives back to us according to the measure we use it shows us, what our own giving looks like, to teach us generosity, and trust in Him to bless overflowingly. (Luke 6:38)

  • Principle 13: Increase is not the primary motive for giving, the motive for Giving should always be generosity, not selfish gain. (2 Cor. 9:1-2)

  • Principle 14: The Cause of our increase is the generous character of God, not a financial system you can manipulate to get wealthy. (Luke 6:38)

  • Principle 15:

    • God’s intention for increase is 2 fold,
      1) provision for you (bread for food) (2 Cor. 9:10)
      2) to increase your capacity for GENEROSITY. (Seed to the sower) (2 Cor. 9:10)
