
Let’s Look Carefully at:
Ephesians 4:26– Be angry and do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger, 27 and give no opportunity to the devil.
Romans 12:19 — Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave it to the wrath of God, for it is written, “Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord.”
Ephesians 4:29 Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear. 30 And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. 31 Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. 32 Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.

James 1:19 – Know this, my beloved brothers: let every person be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger; 20 for the anger of man does not produce the righteousness of God.
2. Ask God to deal with your enemies if they are His enemies too.

Psalm 35:1 — 1 Contend, O LORD, with those who contend with me; fight against those who fight against me!
3. Replace your anger with faith and righteous actions.
Ephesians 4:22 – to put off your old self, which belongs to your former manner of life and is corrupt through deceitful desires, 23 and to be renewed in the spirit of your minds, 24 and to put on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness.

1) Looking back at your notes from this week’s teaching, what blessed you the most?
2) Where were you on September 11, 2001? What are your memories and how has it impacted your life?
3) Ephesians 4:27 refer to the fact that anger can make us susceptible to the work of the devil in our lives. What are some ways that the devil can use anger to destroy you?
4) Pastor Jason strongly encouraged us to let our faith guide us rather than our anger. How can we be both angry and Spirit-led at the same time? How can our faith inform our anger and guide it?
5) Do you have any anger in your heart that has lingered for a long time and you feel that it is turning into bitterness or something even worse? Confess that anger to Christ and ask Him to replace it with something better. Consider confessing it to a Christian friend and asking them to pray with you as you seek God’s spiritual healing.
6) Read Ephesians 4:20-32. Did you see anything in those verses that you need ot work on this month?
7) Pray for one another, your spiritual leaders, your enemies, your nation, and your church.
