Everyday Jesus Notes 11.6.22
November 5, 2022

Everyday Jesus: Everyday Jesus is a great way to deepen your Bible reading, prayer life & personal time with Christ.

• Monday: Read Isa 54-55 Pay attention to the compassion & promise available in the Lord. Today, thank God for His fundamental promise & current compassion which can not be found or duplicated anywhere else!
• Tuesday: Read Isa 55:1-5, John 7:37-38 God invites all, without qualification but with covenant or promise to satisfy the wanting soul. Ask the Lord to make it know n how/where you pursue that which doesn’t & can’t satisfy the soul.
• Wednesday: [Day of Fasting] Read Isa 55:1-7 Seeking the Lord in prayer is a privilege provided us through Christ. With that privilege comes our responsibility to not only seek Him but to also allow Him to change (forsake) our ways and throughs. Note, our fundamental change starts with seeking Him which directs our change. Regardless whether all is well or not well, ask the Lord, “what needs to change”.
• Thursday: Read Isa 55:1-11 The Lord’s thoughts& ways are fundamentally not your thoughts & ways. More than mere perspective differences, God’s thoughts & ways are for and carry out point(why) & purpose(what) that come from heaven and are not found on earth. Is God’s purpose & point, your point and purpose? It matters how we respond and “absorb” insults, setbacks, not yet & disappointments as well as, blessings, promotions and forward movement. Ask the Lord to give you a longer, broader view of where you are and going in life.
• Friday: Read Proverbs 25 These great verses instruct us of the fundamental difference of purpose and point that God has and carries out. Pray for peace and growing joy in how God leads your life.
• Saturday: Read Isa 55:11 God’s word succeeds in His reason for sending His word (point) and God’s word accomplishes His purpose. God’s point for Israel was their lack of clarity after the exile. God’s purpose was to accomplish their hope in the promise of the Messiah. Turn to the verse of Scripture that shapes you, your life verse, ask God what His point and purpose of sending this verse into your life {If you don’t have one yet, use Isa 55:11 while asking God to continually shape your life in His word]
