You Can’t Please Everyone

Our antenna are constantly out asking, “How am I doing?”

We are listening for two powerful words: “Well done”

From whom are you hoping to hear, “Well done”?

• Yourself?
• Others?
• God?

And now, Israel, what does the LORD your God require of you? He requires only that you fear the LORD your God, and live in a way that pleases him, and love him and serve him with all your heart and soul. —Deuteronomy 10:12 (NLT)

As for me, it matters very little how I might be evaluated by you or by any human authority. I don’t even trust my own judgment on this point. My conscience is clear, but that doesn’t prove I’m right. It is the Lord himself who will examine me and decide. —1 Corinthians 4:3-4 (NLT)

All that I am

• All that I think
• All that I say
• All that I do
• All for One

The truth will set you free…I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. —John 8:32; 14:6

Freedom
• From stress (Matthew 6:24; John 8:28-29)
• To give love away (Acts 18:9-11; 2 Corinthians 12:15)
• To give tough love (Galatians 1:10)
• To live out God’s purpose for your life (John 12:27-28)

Begin each day this week with a simple prayer: “May I please you with every thought, every word, every action.”

End each day with a simple prayer: “How did I do?”
