Jesus the King
Part of A Leader You Can Count on To Keep His Promises
December 17, 2021

This week we learned that Jesus was, and still is, a far different King than the one the Jewish people expected. Until the conclusion of His role as King, Jesus is a king that brought peace rather than war, that came to serve rather than be served, and a King that established His Kingdom in people’s hearts rather than over geographic territory. The questions below are designed to help guide your thinking as you relate those truths to your life:

1.  When Jesus said that the kingdom of God would be inside of you, often said to be “in your heart”, what does that mean? (Luke 17:20-23)
2.  How do you allow Jesus to rule in your heart?
3.  In what areas of your life do you find it easy to allow Jesus to be King?
4.  In what areas of your life do you find it difficult to allow Jesus to be King?
5.  What are practical things you can do to surrender your “kingdom” to the King of kings and Lord of lords?
6.  According to 1 Corinthians 15:20-28, what events take place leading up to the fulfillment of Jesus’ reign as King?
