(Examples: Walking a specific vacation spot, walking with an important person, etc. )
Option 2: Who is someone’s footsteps that you have followed, learned from, imitated, or been mentored by?

Diving into the Bible:
TRANSITION & READ: Abby started her message Sunday with the questions, how does change happen in our life with Jesus? How do we become the version of ourselves that most resembles the person of Christ? She then took us into Paul’s words to the Galatian Church, who was countering a teaching of Christianity based on following laws and regulations.
Galatians 5:16-18
REFLECT: What does it look like to walk in close proximity to someone, let alone the Holy Spirit?
Galatians 5:22-26
DISCUSS: To crucify something means to take it out of power? What might it look like to crucify the flesh with its passions and desires?”
REFLECT: Abby talked about the use of spiritual disciplines to help bring us toward the direction of change or a goal.
“Disciplines: Any activity I can do by direct effort that will help me do what I cannot do now by direct effort.” - John Ortberg
SHARE: What are some ways disciplines could help bring about change?
Apply & Pray:
CONSIDER the 2 Minute Rule: Start with something you know you can do for two minutes each day that will move you in the direction of a goal to walk with Jesus. What could you do this week?
PRAY: Lord, I want to walk next to you throughout my week, listening and allowing you to change me. Please take me to places that will bring more of you and less of my old life.
