When we ask, we are always talking. But when we listen, our minds are open to new directions.
When we ask, we want to know something. When we listen, we want to know what God tells us.
When we ask, we expect an answer and grow impatient. When we listen, we know God is in control and we are more patient.
When we ask, the relationship with the One speaking (God) is peripheral. When we listen, our relationship with God is the reason we are talking to Him.
