I’m Okay, I’m Okay…Everything’s Fine

Sermon Title: Anxiety

(noun) - That moment when Sunday stops feeling like a Sunday and the anxiety of Monday starts to kick in.

Anxiety exists when the

around you overwhelm the within you.

4 Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! 5 Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. 6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. —Philippians 4:4-7 NIV

Peace exists when the

within you overwhelms the around you.

I look up to the mountains—
does my help come from there?
2 My help comes from the Lord,
who made heaven and earth! —Psalm 121:1-2 NLT

He will not let you stumble;
the one who watches over you will not slumber.
4 Indeed, he who watches over Israel
never slumbers or sleeps.

5 The Lord himself watches over you!
The Lord stands beside you as your protective shade.
6 The sun will not harm you by day,
nor the moon at night. —Psalm 121:3-6 NLT

2)

The Lord keeps you from all harm
and watches over your life.
8 The Lord keeps watch over you as you come and go,
both now and forever. —Psalm 121:7-8 NLT

3) Rest

28 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” —Matthew 11:28-30 NIV
