Devoting To One Another

# Big Idea
“One Another” cannot be done alone, in isolation. **
*It assumes participation in the community of Jesus
and requires actively Devoting to One Another.*
Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, *holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this* world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.* Romans 12:1-2
*
True Love is unhypocritical
“love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good.” (Romans 12:9)
Devotion brings Honor in the Jesus community
*”Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves. Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord.” Romans 12:10-11
*
Devotion is expressed in Serving and Sharing in the Jesus Community
*Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. Share with the Lord’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality. Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse. Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn. * Romans 12:12-15
Devotion builds Harmony in the Jesus community
“Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position. Do not be conceited.” Romans 12:16
