Sunday’s Message – There is an old saying, “sticks and stones will break my bones but words will never hurt me”. This is categorically false as words can wound deeper than objects. According to the Lord, the tongue holds great power. It can build up or tear down. It can heal or wound. It can create or destroy. Our words matter and Jesus was clear that we will give an account for every idle word (Matthew 12:36). This week, we will see how Proverbs addresses the power of the tongue and how to glorify God with our words.
