How do I become the leader God has called me to be?

The Lord said to Samuel, “I am about to do something in Israel that will cause everyone who hears about it to shudder. An overseer, therefore, must be above reproach, the husband of one wife, self-controlled, sensible, respectable, hospitable, able to teach, not an excessive drinker, not a bully but gentle, not quarrelsome, not greedy. Older men are to be self-controlled, worthy of respect, sensible, and sound in faith, love, and endurance. Everything is from God, who has reconciled us to himself through Christ and has given us the ministry of reconciliation. That is, in Christ, God was reconciling the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and he has committed the message of reconciliation to us. Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, since God is making his appeal through us.
