In the Old Testament: appears 3 times (Lev 17:7, Deut
32:17, Ps 106:37)
- shed – daemon (malignant), devil
- saiyr
Unclean Spirits – spirits produced by a forbidden mixture.
This is what Jesus, the apostles and the jews of their time had in mind when talking about these beings.
DEMONS – disembodied spirits resulted from a forbidden
mixture
- descendants of the fallen ones (Elohim, watchers…)
and women
Embodied, they were called the Nephilim or Giants
They were (and are) extremely antagonistic to God’s creation… implicitly to humans.
Their primary purpose – destruction of human race.
EXORCISM
in the Old Testament
Exorcism – the act or process of expelling evil spirits by
religious ceremonies
In Jesus’s language, ”cast out demons”
In the Old Testament
-there are no direct references about casting out demons, but the Jews expectations were that
Messiah (Yahuwah) will cast out evil spirits.
The only record about exorcism in the Old Testament was discovered at Qumran Caves (Dead Sea Scrolls) where
Psalm 91 was in the same clay jar with three other psalms
(not included in the biblical cannon) and all three were written in exorcism language.
It is logically coherent that the religious Jews were involved in exorcism, and that was practiced. They were witnesses at
the procedure during Jesus’s ministry, and knew what happened.
CONTRAST

“ANGELS”
(samayim, gedosim)and
DEMONS
Angels
-created by YHWH in heaven.
-Extremely powerful.
-Access to all heavenly knowledge.
-Can take human forms
- Serve YHWH and His plan.
Demons
- created on Earth(forbidden mixture)
- limited power
- knowledge transferred
- have to possess humans in order to
experience physical reality
-serve Satan and His plan
THE ENEMY
Two groups
1. Watchers faithfull to YHWH
2. Fallen watchers +Demons
When we talk about the Cosmic Conflict there are two distinct
groups:
The spiritual beings that remained faithful to YHWH
The spiritual beings that committed treason and rebelled
against YHWH the Father along side their offspring the
demonic beings
The entire ministry of Jesus is concentrated on the work of
RESTORATION
JESUS came to “destroy” the works of the devil and bring back into the initial plan ALL CREATION.
EVERITHING HE DOES IS POINTED TOWARDS RESTORING THE 3 R’S
KINGDOM PRINCIPLES
PRINCIPLE : a CAUSE – EFFECT RELATIONSHIP that is
universal and non negotiable
During this study we will analyze all of Jesus’s teachings,
words and deeds, with a close look at the 3 R’s, and a close
look on to how his ministry restores the rebellions and the
effects of the rebellions
For each segment we will define the problem, search for
Jesus’s solution, and than we will formulate the principle.
Those are THE PRINCIPLES OF THE KINGDOM OF GOD.
These Principles are the Teachings of the Apostles.
These Principles changed the history of humanity for time
and eternity.
They were expressed in the beginning through 12 simple men
If it worked for them… it will work for us also.
JESUS’S GENEALOGY
In Matthew 1
Matthew 1 – The Genealogy of Jesus from Abraham
A major thing in this genealogy is the enumeration of
four women:
1.Tamar – Gen 38 – sexual deceit
2.Rahab – Josh 2, 6 - prostitute
3.Ruth. - Ruth. - Moabite, sexually offered herself
4.Bathsheba – 1 Kings, 2 Sam 12 – sexually abused
Problem: All these participated willfully or un willfully in sexual sin. Still they are THE ONLY ONES mentioned in Jesus’s genealogy.
Solution: JESUS enters this toxic genealogy.
Principle: NO MATTER HOW TOXIC THE LINEAGE IS,
WHEN JESUS ENTERS THE LINE, ALL IS CLENSED, AND BLESSINGS FOLLOW.
