Day 10: God’s holiness reveals my sinfulness

God’s holiness reveals my sinfulness which allows me to grasp the depth of His love! In order for this to be possible, my understanding of God must go from the Big Guy Upstairs to the Holy God who must judge sin. Another perspective is needed to fully grasp the depth of His love as well. My understanding of myself must go from a good guy who needs a little help to a desperate sinner who needs rescued. My recognition of His love deepens when I realize the cost of His sacrifice to satisfy the Holiness of God. The natural result of experiencing this love and grace is that I will extend love to the depth I am experiencing God’s love.

Read Isaiah 6:1-7

Q: Why do you think Isaiah described God as occupying the throne (v.1)? Why is it so important to see God as a Holy God vs. Big Guy Upstairs?

Q: What response does Isaiah give after being confronted with God’s holiness (v.5)? What wonderful answer did he receive after his cry (v.6-7)?

Q: Ponder this statement: “God’s grace will not explode on my life until I confront God’s holiness in my life!”

Q: How did this woman passionately and courageously worship Jesus? What are some factors that keep us from extravagant loving in this same manner?
