Six Laws of Spiritual Growth
1. We grow when we feed on
Matthew 4:4 - Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’”
Acts 20:32 - Now I commit you to God and to the word of his grace, which can build you up and give you an inheritance among all those who are sanctified.

2. We grow when we
Luke 3:18 - In many different ways John preached the good news to the people. (CEV)
Job 33:14 - God speaks in different ways, and we don’t always recognize his voice. (CEV)
3. We grow when we develop
John 13:17 - “Now that you know these things, you’ll be blessed if you practice them!”
Hebrews 5:14 - Solid food is for mature people, whose minds have been TRAINED BY PRACTICE to know the difference between good and evil. (GW)
1 Corinthians 9:25 - Every athlete in training submits to strict discipline, in order to be crowned with a wreath that will not last; but we do it for one that will last forever. TEV
Josh 1:8-9 - Always remember what is written in the Book of the Teachings. Study it day and night to be sure to obey everything that is written there. 4. We grow when we help
Romans 1:12 - I want us to help each other with the faith we have. Your faith will help me, and my faith will help you. (NCV)
Hebrews 10:24-25 - And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds. 25 Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another — and all the more as you see the Day approaching.
